We all just have to admit. Spa days are one of the best things you can do when it comes to leisure, better than eating chocolate and definitly better than haniging out with the opposite sex. They take you away to a fairytale land where all your troubles are left behind and you can feel rejuvenated. Oh to wake up feeling like that every day! The good news is there is a multitude of different spa offerings in London, so you will never be lost for a place to spa.
With these facts at our disposal, how do we decide which one to go to? With so many to choose from it is a tough choice! Here's my view:
The Sanctuary Spa Day
At the very top of my list for a London spa day has to be The Sanctuary. In the famous Convent Garden you can really mix day with night and hit the town looking and feeling great. But that really isn't the be all and end all, the service, staff and products are quite simply the best.
Bliss London
Launched 10 years ago Bliss, which is based near Chelsea is one of the freshest spas out there. Bliss London is just one of many international Bliss branches around the world, so look out for them on your travels.
Amara
This is not officially a spa, but has a great range of treatments that specialise in body and skin care treatments. A range of great products are used here.
Have a great spa day
Making the most of your spa day is important because, unless you have a money tree, you won't be going all the time - in fact many people go because they have received some form of gift voucher. Unfortunately that can mean the whole day is spoilt by worrying!
To help you avoid that, follow my tips:
1. It will make your day very easy if you jump in a taxi to go to your spa. Just kick the day off in style, and keep travel mainly in your control, buses and trains can be late, overcrowded and stressful, a taxi keeps it simple. You'll arrive fresh and non-stressed - the perfect start to your day.
2. Relax. The whole objective of a spa day is about relaxing, not trying every single service and product. Take your time and enjoy whatever you feel like, whenever you feel like it.
3. Take a good book or magazine. You are probably at the spa because you have a really busy life, so just enter the world of the book you are reading and drift away.
